It is a great relief to cover with obscure the white surface of canvas. After several days' work, erasing all attempts at designing a composition with a night cover that lingers on leisurely like a gigantic beast spreading its wings over the big city. The artist has got the right and the foolish freedom to destroy the beauty or harmony of bright colors to gain a miracle. This systematic process enforced by the desire to experience this violence projected from within  lasted several months. Strangely, this violence was similar to one punch that did not come from me but from the canvas. Destroying my composition was a sudden knockdown. I was not an actor any longer but a witness. The canvas took over the brush. I just had to step aside before the surprise. This was a lesson of letting go given by the great freedom that cannot bear any effort and where everything is right.
